3in body lift tire clearence
Hello, im wanting to lift my 2wd f150 flareside about 6in in the future, but for now i need to do something to my truck that i can afford, i desperatley need to get rid of the damn rims and tires my truck came with. So i was thinking of a 3in body lift with 33in **** cepek mud country's on 17" pro comp steels. Will they fit and look nice?

im gunna try to stear away from BL for now, because ive heard of the poorly written instructions it comes with that everyone is complaining about, having to pull back the carpet, disconnect a bunch of lines and pretty much dismantle the truck, and the fact that alot of the kits havnt been coming with bumper brackets, which is what ive read. but maybe ill do it in the future.... maybe try to find 4" spindle's if they even exist, if not ill stay with the 3.5", 2.5" level kit, and 5" block in the rear. ill figure something out.

FYI your not gonna be able to run 35's with just spindles and a leveling kit. Also you can't put more than 2" spacers or springs in the front without running aftermarket control arms.
As far as the body lift stuff, those people must not have bought a performance accesories kit because their instructions are highly detailed and have a picture for every step. Also their kit comes with front and rear bumper brackets. Unless they have completely changed their kits within two weeks, (which i highly doubt) then I am correct.

I kno, can't seem to get a straight answer from anybody outside of this website, but I believe u guys and u all have been a big help. Thank u. So I'm only wanting to clear 33's with no rubbing, so for now, will a 3.5" spindle lift, 2" level, a 5" black in the rear work without running into a-arm problems or anything else? If I'm correct, I think I've got my info rite now, I've researched quite alot. Lol. Then in the future, a performance accessories BL is definitely on the list.
The Performance Accessories kit comes with great instructions and front and rear bumper brackets. Its really not that hard to install if you can follow directions. The hardest part is lifting the cab and bed with out hitting the two against each other. With a 2" leveling kit and 3" body lift 35's should be no problem. We are just looking out for you as tires arent cheap. If you go with a body lift, leveling kit and 33's and decide to add a suspension lift later, the 33's wont look right. Go with the 35's and save some money in the long run. Im sure most of the guys on here will agree that lift is addicting. You'll always want to go bigger. Just my .02
yea, i agree as well, but being that i am a college student, and have a have about 3 days a week for work, i dont make a whole lot, so a suspension lift wont happen atleast until i get a steady job, after the fire acadamy and paramedic program, atleast 3 years, then having to get hired on, and if i do, im getting a bigger truck, so this lift and 33's should suit me just fine. but i will def post up pics once everything is together.
nice, this is giving me the confidence i need to really go and buy these parts. Im guessing tho, since my truck is a '99 and has never been touched on the underside, when i go to change out the spindles, im gunna have to replace some worn ball joint. and im sure some other things. What exactly are the most common problems that im gunna run into wen converting the spindles? such as worn out parts? so that i can get them before hand
I have 3in body with 1.5in level on top of the factory rubber spacer and I'm running 35x12.50 KM2s with M/T classic locks and they fit fine.I just put all 4 new ball joints in for the second time, u need to check your pads while your under the fender of course, but that's about it, ball joints are the easiest to go out. You can jack the front end up and check your tie rod ends but if you haven't busted them a loose takin your front end apart several times like me lol they should be good. Your shocks might need replacing but probably not. It took me about 3.5 hours to do all four of mine. I'm Gettin a 3.5 spindle when I find someone to buy these KM2s I put on like 2 weeks ago and going to get 38 mud grapps
wow, nice, id love to see some pics of ur truck, it sounds badass. and thanks for the tips, i knew for sure the ball joints, and ill check the tie rods. and the pads i have to change as well. Hopefully thats it? cuz wen i jack it up and start taking stuff apart, i wana be driving in a lifted truck the next day. no problems
