2wd Suspension lifts hard to come by?
2wd Suspension lifts hard to come by?
Already got a lot of help on here but my dad doesn't seem to want to get me a BL, thinks they aren't good for the truck. So I'm trying to find a 4-5 inch suspension lift for my 2002 ford f150 2wd. Anyone know of a 4-5 inch lift for $900 or cheaper? I've been looking forever. Seems like the 2wd and the year of the truck are hard to come by. Thanks
Do a search for Doestch and Springtech. Both make budget spindle lifts for these 2wd trucks.

Dude your the man. Know any 4 inch lifts? But thats so perfect. Thanks bruh. But on the second website does the numbers under the lift category mean ratios front to back. Example : 6/3 . Whats this mean?

Would you mind backing up your claims. I have been researching these lifts quite a bit and have not seen this. The only one close was a guy who said his ranger spindle lift broke. You can break OEM spindles if you ride em hard enough. Having one guy say his broke does not make it known. There are many on this site that will tell you that their Springtech lifts are just fine.

Yes that is the ratio of front and rear lift. Both manufacturers make 3.5in lifts and adding a level spacer will add a bit more
That they do.
You might also want to quiz your dad about the basis for his beliefs about body lifts. Lots of guys on this board have them and like them. It's important to seperate the home made kits from the off the shelf ones from reputable manufacturers.
Most body lift myths start with some backwoods bodylift made out of random parts.

theres nothing wrong with springtech lifts. you can break any part on any lift if you ride it hard enough. ive torn threw plenty of ruts with mine and even jumped the truck and its still holdin up fine. the only downside to the springtech lift is the shocks wear out really fast.
Yeah i don't think you really know what you are talking about. I've had my springtech spindles for like 6 months now and have had ZERO problems. You should compare one to a stock spindle, They are about 3-4 times beefier than the stocks. I even jumped a cattle gap going 40mph (Wouldn't recommend this to anyone!) and nothing broke!
i had a springtech drop on one ranger and a lift on my other ranger will never buy them again. My lifted ranger's rear shocks started leaking after 2 weeks with only highway driving, and the upper ball joint boot was missing on one balljoint and the other was ripped. i had issues with the spindles being to close to the coil bucket also and hit it when i turned. my lowered ranger's suspension wasn't to bad, just dropped it more than it said and rode to soft up front. told me the springs would drop me 3 in ended up close to 4.25 in. Since I am stationed in hawaii, my dad went to their shop to bring up a few other issues I had they told him they have never had any issues with their kits.
