Yes, Pics!

And if you don't like the logo on the front, it's a stamped piece of metal that's riveted on. 30 seconds with a drill is all it would take to get it off.

Not done yet. I'm going to make it easier on myself and rent a lift in a heated shop and install it there. I almost just did it after work in my driveway, but ******* that.

Ibrocon, I am going to drill the rivits out and ditch their logo before I do anything else. Not sure what I'll put in it's place yet, but plain is better than tacky.

First mod....

A few pics of the kit so far in this album. http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/swazo/F150/

I am impressed with the finish and build quality. It looks very solid and well built. I am curious as to how good of shock Trailmaster makes. I honestly haven't found many F150 reviews on the SSV shocks, so we'll see. I want nicer than OEM ride quality, so if these ride a little rough......I'll upgrade to Bilstien 5100s (or the ones with the remote res, if/when they make them for F150s).

If I can get in 6-8 hours free this week and the if the shop I want to rent is open that late..... I'll just loose a little sleep to get it installed. If not, it will have to wait until a weekend they're open.

Any progress yet? I'm curious if the track width remains the same and how easy it'll be bolting on.

Not yet. This upcoming weekend will be the time for the install to happen, one way or another.

Side Note: Odd that photobucket took my video down of me taking the Trailmaster emblem off the crossmember...

I will say from experience with trail master in the past that there lifts are OK but far from the best. I do have to say hands down that for after the sale support that fabtech is the best, and they make good products.

I set tomorrow aside for this. Just have to get the loaner tie rod/ball joint separator fork kit and spring compressor kit from Autozone on my way to my friends house. I didn't want to pay anyone to do this for me, so I had to wait for decent weather and free time. This is the only chance I'll have for a bit, so with that said......

Re****ulous amounts of install pics to come tomorrow

Update:

I ended up doing most of this install solo, and once I got grimey..... I didn't want to touch my camera. It was bad enough viewing the install instructions on my HTC EVO....

I have one bad strut, which has left my truck in limbo for now. I contacted Trailmaster and they were very, very easy to deal with. They just wanted to know what batch it came from, a copy of my purchase invoice and where to ship another strut. The tech I spoke to was a really nice guy and very accommodating. I was left with a sense of "things are being properly handled", which is a rarity if not an oddity in the aftermarket field. Most suck, some are decent.....but these guys are great.

So far, the install has gone a lot longer than the BS 4-6 hour claim. I am very impressed at how well this kit is built. All of the drop brackets are solid and well designed. The crossmembers for the LCA's are beefy. When all of it is installed, bolt holes all line up like it was tailored made for my truck (minus the rear OEM crossmember trimming).

I did measure my leveling spacer, which came out to 1.75", not the 2.5 I could have sworn I bought. One strut is installed, with the spacer, and everything looks kosher. A 7 and 3/4" lift just sounds funny

I will admit, I am pretty happy with my decision so far, even after having a bad strut. Some of, if not the best tech support I have experienced. The proof is in the pudding, and that will accrue with actual road/trail milage. But so far, this kit is pretty sweet.

DUDE even though the spacer only measures 1.75" u will achieve a full 2.5" of lift in the end, it has to do with the angle of the lower control arm being pushed down and in (if that makes any sense)
