I believe the kit is designed to put on a complete stock truck and end up with a leveled lifted truck, it appears the lift or most are a 6/3 lift 6 front, 3 rear. So if you add a 2 inch level with it your front is goin to sit higher, thus you having to add more height to the rear via a larger block or add a leaf.

Id just go with a front leveling kit, maybe do a 2.5 front / 1 inch rear lift or even a 3'' / 1'' lift, that will give you higher but close to level stance without rear appearing stock height and slightly lower than front as it appears on some 2wds leveled out.

Well i wouldnt know who has a better lift because both of them use spacers up front now? They both offer coilovers too correct?

I say go with whatever lift you can get a better deal on. 4wheel parts has been having some great deals lately on their procomp lifts plus I even saw free install at one point. Oh, and the procomp stage 2 comes with coilovers.

As far as quality I can only speak for procomp. It has performed flawlessly for about 3 years now and over 30,000 miles. I beat on my f150 probably more than 90% of the people on this site and have never had one issue. All i can say is Procomp makes a great lift and Ford makes a badazz truck. In 3 years of off roading all i have broke is an end link on my front sway bar. If your looking for truck in action you can look at the link to one of my vids in my sig. My channel has plenty of vids of my truck in action .

Are those doetsch tech lift kits any good, That seems to be a good deal on a 6 inch lift

Google it and look for reviews, just remember there is a reason its cheap. If you want to spend less..you can get a Trail Master for like 1500 bucks

I have the Fabtech 6" lift w/ adjustable coilover shocks. You can "dial in" the front height that you want. I also bought the steering stabilizers.

No matter how you crunch the math, you are going to spend from $4,000 to $6,000 by the time you're done. Don't forget installation, alignment, new wheels, tires, TPMS kit if applicable, a programmer for your new tire size, and re-gearing.

I'm just guessing that you are not in the automotive repair business. And I'm fairly certain that you will source out the installation. I have tools and a little automotive knowledge. My first set-back was that I did not have a jack that would lift the truck that far off the ground. Keep in mind that if you jack up your truck, and have it on jack-stands high enough off the ground to take the wheels off; you still may not have enough height to get the new wheels and tires on. As an amateur wrench turner, my experience is pretty much limited to basic maintenance with the aide of a Haynes Manual. Once I figured out that I've never worked on suspension, can't mount & balance tires, and had no way of performing the alignment in my driveway; allowing a shop to do the work and having a warranty swayed my decision.

The best thing to do is price out everything, including all the extras, and then come up with a budget. Do everything at once. You will be happier being able to drive away with everything installed, as opposed to not being happy with sloppy steering, the speedometer being off, & loss of power due to the wrong gearing.

im stuck on a Fabtech 6" lift any way it goes so ill probably get the stage one , you can get them around 1400 or 1500 bucks on some sites. I figured i will have to get new rims anyway and tires duhhh. I was going to get some pro comp 17's and some kind of 35 tire.

Here is what i dont get. What else do i have to get for it to run alright. Do i need steering stabilizers and to re gear it ? What else do i need.

This is my first vehicle and im learning about all this. My brother and father work on cars alot and my brother builds them but i would like to learn this stuff too
