Bilstein clarification please

I have a 2004 2wd f150. Is it true that I can purchase Bilstein 5100s in the front and adjust the lift 1-2" without the need for a lift kit on top of the shock mount? It is correct that I can just adjust the shock to provide the lift?

Thanks

The Bilstein 5100s will give you lift, assuming they make them for the 2wd. I know they make them for 4wd.

Stock 4x4 shocks will give you 1.5 to 2 inch of lift. The 5100's will give you lift on top of what you get from putting on the 4x4 struts up front. 4x4 shocks will work as a poor mans 4x2 lift.

You're correct Bavendo. They make them for the 2wd, and they will level the truck (lift front 2") without the need for an additional spacer or other hardware.

The newer ones coming out now don't allow you to adjust the lift anymore I don't think. It's either 2" or nothing. I might be mistaken on that, but I'm pretty sure that's how all the new 5100's are coming out.
