Level Kit Angle Corrections?

I have a '06 Lariat 4WD. I put on a ReadyLift 3" Level (Front & Rear)... which is not so level (rear is now lower)... anyway. I don't like the angles of the control arms, the uppers have virtually no room to travel without hitting the coils. After quite a bit of searching I believe there is no option of longer control arms. Is there spindle options?

I put on the level kit to buy time till I can afford a full 6-8" lift. I'm looking for cheap fixes.

Having now replaced all ball joints (getting ripped off on 2) I'm hoping to just get buy till spring/summer when I should be able to do the full lift.

If you are not in a position to get the lift kit now, your only option is to ditch the 3" for a smaller levelling kit. They are less than $100 and it would help with the bulldog stance.

These are the strut spacers, right? I probably wouldn't go much higher than 1.5 or 2" with a strut spacer, simply because the ball joint will be nearly maxed-out and/or the UCA will hit the coil spring (as you found out). That and having no down travel makes the ride suck.

With a 1.5" or 2" strut spacer and factory blocks in the rear, you should be level or nearly-level. You could also go with a uniball upper control arm, but that would still be pushing it with a 3" spacer.

That said, what's wrong with the "bulldog stance"?

Yes, most members found out during 2004 that 2.5 inches is the limit for a leveling kit on those trucks. 3 inches just leaves the ball joints at too severe of an angle to last.
