Ready to take the Lift plunge...HELP!

Hey guys,

I've got a 2010 XLT Screw that has a 2.5" leveling kit and 1" rear block w/295/70/18 Nitto Trail Grapps on XD Monsters. Been shopping around and looking at moving up to Rough Countrys 6" Susp. Lift. I have a few questions if anyone can help...

1. If I'm not changing tire/wheel size, would I need to regear (I have the stock 3.55's LS)?

2. Do you think my 34.26" tires will look too small under a 6" lift? They are brand new and I really don't want to have to go up to 35's just for another 3/4".

3. If I keep my same tire size, will my mpg drop just b/c of the lift or are the mpg more related to a change in tire size?

4. Is Rough Country a brand you would trust on your vehicle?

Thanks all and I hope that my questions make sense!

1 At highway speeds you may notice it shift out of OD more on hills due to increased drag on the truck but it's not going to FORCE you to regear although you should got to at least a 4.10 stock height or lifted with that big of a tire.

2 It's all in perspective. I don't think it will look too out of place, you will probably want to go bigger eventually but it should look on.

3 Yes you will drop MPG because it's directly related to drag and 6" higher in the air is a lot more wind resistance.

4 Don't know, never owned any of their products that I can remember, someone else will have to answer that.

You're not really going up 6" since you already have a 2.5" leveling kit.

You might want to just do a 3" body lift with what you already have and be money ahead. Also, your turning radius won't suffer. I can't speak to the RC kit specifically, but some of the others that I've driven have reduced turning radius because of the big knuckle.

If your going to lift your truck dont go with any body lifts lots of squeaks. If you can spend the extra money and get a rize lift.I have a 09 Platinum with a 8" Rize kit you get what you pay for.

If you have squeaks as a result of a body lift, there is something wrong with your truck. Lots of people on this site have body lifts with no squesks or other issues.

What brand do you have? Who intalled it?

Cool! How much more wheel travel do you get out of that Rize?
