downsizing....sad sad day

So I leveled out my 07 f-150 with 2.5 inch procomp leveling kit and threw some 315/70/17s under it....looks great, performs amazing, and gets tons of comments.....but it eats gas (9mpg)....and I just got a new job 2.5 hours away (1 hour of highway, 1.5 hours of mountain) so its time to be that responsible adult I never wanted to be and downsize. I'm looking for anybody that has done a leveling kit and my have saved that softer rubber stock spacer that sits on to of the coil spring. I'm willing to pay you for them or work out some kind of trade...please e-mail me at nferrell68@comcast.net if you would be able to help me out.
Thanks a lot

Y'know instead of being responsible you could do something a lot more fun and buy a programmer, recalibrate your tire size, and maybe regear. Just might get your mileage back!

Take the money you would spend on gas and buy a car that gets 30+ mpg. thats what I would do, but good luck with finding the spacer, it is always sad to downsize.

I'm running 35's with a 2.5 level in front and 3 inch block in rear and am seeing 17.9 MPG on the highway with my Edge on level 3.

Around town I'm getting an average of about 15.3 MPG also on level 3.

I'd say something else is causing the 9 MPG... Bad Spark Plugs, COP's, fuel filter, air filter, etc... Maybe even a clogged cat.

I'd look at that stuff before removing the level and getting smaller tires.

Going to call BS on this, even if you have 4.88s. My stock 07 gets 13-14.

I think you're doing the right thing with that far of a drive. Less wear and tear on the truck. It may be worth while finding a gas saver with that far of a drive though.

I average 12.5-13.5 sometimes 14...I wish my truck got 30 mpg. To the OP, if you're driving in the mountains, won't you maybe need 4wd sometimes? You might want to consider a mid-size p/u or suv that has 4wd.

well i dont know what else to tell you but its true, i can drive from my house to our beach house in florida (320miles) on one tank of gas and the low fuel light comes on when i get there. if you do the math that adds up to right under 12. if i baby it it will get better than that because most of that trip is on the interstate doing 80+.
