Rancho

I was at the shop the other day and I was told that I would risk messing up my shafts if I add a level to my 4inch Rancho kit...is this true?? Cause that was my plan on going higher!

I dont know if you will wreck your shafts i know my angles are stock-like so putting a leveling kit on would be almost the same as putting it on a stock truck. On the other hand i dont think you can fit anything bigger than 1.5" LK on it, my truck wouldnt fit a 1.5" spacer up front for some reason so im going to use a 1" spacer soon.

No Stovetop added a 1 inch level and has had no problems.

The Rancho kit is pretty much the same as a stock truck but higher... If that makes sence. So adding the level only effects it the same way it would on a stock truck.

Have a 4 inch kit and add 2.5 or 3 inches that's would not be smart. But 1 or 1.5 should be no problem.

Just keep in mind you may have o raise the rear then to keep it level still.
AAL or Shackles...

well the reason i wanted to do it is because i have a slight rub in the front and the back already sits a but higher...so i 1" or 1.5" is all i would need anyways

As mentioned, I have a 1" DayStar to clear my rub issue, and AutoSpring makes a 1.5" spacer. My opinion is to lift the front the MINIMUM amount to clear your rub as to not eff up anything else...but again, just my opinion for my truck.

BTW, nice looking rig...lovin' the new flares!

I have the rancho lift but mine came with no rear blocks so im running rough country 5" blocks with a 1.5" AAL so right now i have a bit of rake but the 1"spacer will resolve my problems. I know the user on here "scapesinc" his name is has the 1.5" spacer on his rancho lift but when i tried to install mine i couldnt get the UCA to rreach through the spindle to make it fit so had to remove it which sucked.

Back in 2005 i lifted my 05 FX4, i installed the Rancho 4" kit on top of my previously installed daystar kit. The halfshafts had the same angle as they did when i was running the leveling kit. I put about 40k+ miles on it like that with 37" mud grapplers before my first and only issue. The passs side Intergrated Wheel End (IWE) went out and started making a grinding noise. Easy fix if you know your way around your truck. I spent about $70 retail on the part at the time and i had to remove and replace that part only. Hope this helps.

Yes! Keep in mind the Rancho kit is just as tall as the pro comp and fab tech kits 6" kits when you park the next to each other.

Thanks!

i had added a 2inch ontop my rancho . pics in my albums. my angles were steep but 30 000 miles and had no issues. i had to put an aal in rear to keep it level, 37s would fit great
