Save your money man and try it out seriously.. you can pay $300 to like $600 bucks for it and after you do it youll have that money saved for something else and also able to say you did it. Download the instructions, print them off keep them around with you read them get familiar with whats goin on and whats about to dealt with. And plan a few days to spend quality time on it. It can be fun and a rewarding job!

Im in the middle of my 3" install right now.

One question to the guys that know the shortcuts...

One write up I found on the internet does not mention removing the fuel filler neck on my truck for the lifting procedure.
Is it necesary or not?

Thanks

You will need to anyways. You will be replacing the tube that attaches to it anyway.

Thanks man.
Yeah, I have not got to that step yet and the instructions I found on the net neglected to mention it...lol
So far, got both bumpers off, supercab rear seat out, bedliner out and battery / air bag fuse disconnected.

Im taking it slow and just doing a few steps per day as its not my daily driver.

Tomorrow, I am gonna tackle the gas tank filler hose, steering column disconnect, radiator shroud and cab safety straps.

3rd shift is a beoch.

All the things you are going to tackle tomorrow shouldnt take long at all. I worked on mine for a good solid 5 hours a day, and got it done in 3 days by myself. That was taking it easy, and doing everything 100% by the book though.

If you go onto amazon.com and type in "(your year model truck) and the words body lift" then you should see a bunch of different types pop up. Just click on the one that says 97-02 or whichever you are looking for and use the check to make sure it fits. If it fits then order it.. simple as that. Mine was 174 dollars with free shipping. I got it literally 4 days after I ordered it.. and I dont mean 4 business days.
