lift prices

Got a couple of quotes from two local houston 4x4 shops here in Houston.
The first shop quoted me 2200.00 for a 6 inch BDS installed. To me that seems like a good price. It even includes the alignment. Now the next shop quoted me 2600.00 for a Zone 6 inch and 2 inch leveling kit installed with alignment. He told me that the Zone was basically a BDS. How true is that and are these good prices. I think that is a good price for the BDS but i seen the breakdown on the zone and the lift only cost 1595 and the 2 inch leveling kit is 99. So that over 800 for install. Seems high to me since that basically half of what the lift cost. IDK. In all for the 6 inch kit, the 2 inch leveling, 20 inch Hoss XDs, and 37 inch Nitto Trails it was going to be 6g's. Aside from the install price i thought the rest was a good deal. Any thought?

Zone is nowhere near BDS. Zone is more like Rough Country and you can get the Zone on eBay all day for 1400 with free shipping. I personally would not add a leveling kit to the zone. You are adding a spacer to a spacer.

zone is made by bds, it is just a cheaper version to compete with lifts like pro comp and rough country. Out of those 2 definitely go with the bds and 2200 seems like a good deal.

I think that 2200 is a steal, My local shop just told me that the BDS was like 3200, Am I missing something?

Yeah im got the quote from Cutten? Do you know the shop? i just googled and emailed them. I dont know them personaly. Anybody else in Houston know any good shops on the North side of town.
And as far as the Zone kit. It shows a replacement strut so you wouldnt be stacking a spacer on a spacer as far as i see on there website.

You should talk to Kitty or Tom at Offroad Unlimited in Houston.

Give them a call. 281-558-1600

Consider a Premium Lift System kit from Performance Accessories.

The 2010 F150 kit retails for about $800.

thats an awesome price for the BDS kit installed.

Ask about the replacement struts, should only be another hundred dollars and tell them to throw in the dual steering stabilizers too.

Thats what i did. 6" BDS lift w/ new 6" struts and dual steering stabilizers with a block + AAL in the back for $1,850. also comes with new SS brake lines which is nice.

BDS also has the best warranty in the business, go for it

Thanks IDNC76. I think that is the route i will eventually take. I love the look of your truck. How does your truck drive with the 38's and the 4.88s? I will have mine like that pretty soon hopefully. Just gonna take a couple of stages to get it there.. Good looking truck.
