Front strut Q's

Lately on my 04 super crew 4x4 I noticed that the boot on my front shocks have fallen down and exposing the shock itself. I didn't think much of it and niether did the dealership when I asked them. When I look at the shock, I notice that it only has 1/2-3/4s" of play. I have a 3" leveling kit on it and my truck doesnt even sit level. as of right now, my truck has 166,000 miles on it and I'm thinking the shocks have never been changed. I also hear louding sweaking when I hit a bump and the ride is pretty rough. I think I have found the problem for my truck not handling right and not sitting level. I might be wrong so here is a pic of my driver side strut. Tell me if this is a worn out shock or how a shock should look.

Most OEM shocks are worn out at 50-100k.
