2.5 inch leveling kit Rough Country

I have a 2004 F-150 2wd 5.4 liter. I have the 2.5 leveling kit with 1 inch rear blocks in rear installed. I just recently went to goodyear and got new tires. They said that they couldn't do the alignment because of the leveling kit, something to do with the thrust angle being off. I was wondering if anyone could help me out here cause i dont want to chew up my tires that i just got and want to get the alignment done right. I had a shop teacher that said i needed to get something to put on the front to be able to have the correct alignment. I talked to rough country and they said that they've never heard of a problem with having to do the alignment. Was wondering if anyone could shed some knowledge on this situation for me and help me out. Thanks

Had my rough country leveling kit on for 2yrs or so and never had any trouble with alignment. Or even having the tire shop align it.

Goodyear just said they couldn't do it, called around to a couple of places and they said call chux trux so i did and they said they could do it just kind of curious why goodyear said they couldn't do it if the alignment isn't an issue maybe they just didn't want to mess with it? Did you have to add any other modifications to your suspension for the alignment cause i had a shop teacher that said that i would need some kind of kit for the front end

there is no problem with the kit / getting an alignment. i got mine aligned at my ford dealer after i installed it and they had zero issues, I think the shops you went to don't know what they are doing, try your local ford, it was actually cheapest for me, only 84 bucks

No I didn't need any other components for my leveling kit. A local tire shop did my alignment and they barely charged anything due to the fact the leveling kit hardly changed the alignment on my pickup.

My dad put on a 2.5 daystar front leveling kit and never got an alignment or needed one. I would just try another shop. Goodyears are reputable but they dont know everything.. just my .02 cents. The local one told my work that the work truck needed a whole new ac compressor and all.. $1300+ plus.. took it to another shop and all it needed was ac service, oil and recharge. I drove the work truck and it worked great from then on out. Since then I never completed believed in their services.

Just try somewhere else, or call the manufactor where you bought the kit.

A few people have need adjustable camber bolts after installing leveling kits, but it's been very, very few. Camber bolts are about $40 for the kit at most parts stores.

yeah i didn't think that the thrust angle was adjustable but the goodyear tech was saying that that's why teh toe was out but i didn't think that sounded right i'm gonna probably take it to chux trux and if i have to get the camber adjustments then it'll be what it is

i have the same problem although my rough country leveling kit is coil springs. i have a 98 but i got new tires at sears and they couldn't align it all the way. but i have a place that is pretty good that i'm giong to go to. my alignment is off now my tires are toein in. / \ like that (but not that bad). i'm scared my tires are going to ware unevenly. is it possible that i just cant get a true alignment?
