NO Rancho

I have a 2010 FX4 6.5 bed and had planned to install the 4" Rancho and run the stock 20" wheels with 305/55/20. This looks good to me and would fit in the garage and have a nice highway ride. Well, Rancho engineering said they have not tried the kit with a SCREW with the 2 piece rear driveshaft and could not recommend the kit. The other kits use a carrier bearing spacer to keep the angles the same. SO, I have been looking at the Skyjacker 4" to 6" kit (depends how you set up the strut spacer) and was wondering if this is comparable quality for ride and longevity. I really wish the Rancho would work since they have the nice rebate until the end of the month.

They can't recommend it because they haven't tested it and if for some reason something happens, it caused problems, etc you could sue them if they told you it would work. Just like when I talked to their engineers about what various wheel sizes could fit with my 05, the only thing he'd tell me is that the one size they designed it for would work.

I believe there are members with 2009 FX4s with the Rancho lift, you should talk to them.

I have not seen any other 09-10 on here with the 2 piece DS and the Rancho 4" lift.
