Question Pro Comp or Rough Country?

I have narrowed my lifts down to either Pro Comp or Rough Country 6" kits. I just want the spacer kits not new coilovers since i'm using Bilsteins. But what my question is is which one would you all get? I absolutely hate the front crossmember of the pro comp. Just looks too plain to me. But I like the one on the rcx lift but its a new lift and doesnt have many reviews. I plan on not using the 6" spacer and just setting my Bilstein shocks to 2" of lift and running a 2.5" spacer or maybe a 3" to only net me 4.5-5" of lift. I think it would essentially be the same as dropping the front with 2x4 struts. Plus i'd be lifted with near perfect angles I want to do this because my tires I have now are only 34.5x 11.5 and I think it will make them look too small and i'm not wanting to get rid of them. But I still want to be able to go up to 8" and 37's when these tires are gone. So thats why i'm not getting a 4". So enough of me talking what would you guys get and how does my plan of lifting it sound? Thanks!

i dont think you can do that, i believe you need the spacer that comes with either of those kits, and the tires wont look bad at all i ran 34s for awhile on my old 05 until i got 35s

You can replace the spacer with the 5100...you can run it at 0 lift or crank it up to the other settings (1 and 2 inches i believe). I plan to do the same thing, rough country 6" with bilstein 5100's cranked 2 with 35's...i say go for the rough country as everyone ive ever talked to who ACTUALLY HAS ONE loves theirs.

im not sure if you can use stock size struts and a leveling kit for a make shift 4"-5" lift.

I would just run the kit with the 6" spacers and deal with the look of small tires till you get bigger ones.

have you looked into the BDS "Stage 1" lift. its around the same price, but its better quality and has a better warranty than the other kits.

I would say run the bilstiens at 0 with the 6" instead of trying to acheive less lift ....dosent make sense.. if you want 4" then go with teh 4" kit and you can always kick the bilsteins up to give you 6" if you dont think you would ever go bigger than 6" or 35" tires.

Well now that I know that I cant get 5 out of a 6" then I think im just going to go with a 4" kit. For me it just makes more sense because its my only vehicle and I do alot of driving to school. And plus i'd like to be able to still have some workability in it. SO 4" Rough Country it is!

Just to let you know that BDS makes a 4 inch lift also.

I just go with the 6'' lift. I haven't talked to ONE single person that bought the 6'' kit and didn't want it higher as soon as they started driving it. Other than that 6'' and 34'' aren't that bad. In the winter I have to drive my ''stock size'' winter tires (31.5'') and THAT does look weird.

My truck currently has the 6'' RCX and haven't had one single problem since it's installation but for some reasons I would take a good look at the BDS kit.
