I have no experience with them so I really can't say. Maybe PM some of the guys in that thread and see how they like them and how they are holding up?

What is yalls opinion of these 2 shocks?

Bilstien 5100 (2-4" Lift)

I am assuming these will work with the 3" Lift add-a-leafs? But they are only offered in rear shock. THe ones offered for the front are for (4"-6" Lift).
So I guess i could team them with these:

My parents have these on thier Avalanche and it is the best riding vehicle of any Truck or SUV I have ever been in. I know that is like comparing apples to oranges, but it has to speak a little to the quality of shock.

bilstien are very good shocks. I"m planning on running some of the 5100's on my 02 w/ a 6" lift once i get the funds up to buy all 4 at once.

Holly crap this is turning into a job!
I worked last night. The leaf springs were cake, went smooth as silk... However my u-bolts are now not long enough, about 1/4" shy of having full threads in the nut. so i had to remove the factory 2" block. I guess i will get new U-bolts made and then add the blocks later.
As for removing the stock shocks. This was the hardest and took longer than anything else all night. I got the driver side rear removed and replaced. If there some trick to it. I cant get a wrench on shock, on the bottom side of the bracket. So when i turn the nut on the top the shaft just spins. I tried holding it with a pipe wrench, channel locks, vice grips, nothing worked. Finally i put 2 pair of vice grips on it and if i turned supper slow i finally managed to get the nut off. Is there a better way of going about this... btw i sprayed all nuts with penatrant before starting.
