4" Lift

Okay guys so I have been debating whether I want a 6" or 4". Well today I went out and got the jacks out and concluded that I want a 4". 6" higher just made my tires look waaaay to small to me. And they're 35" Toyo's on stock 20's. The actual tire size is 315/60/r20. I have a 2.5" leveling kit on it now so I jackedthe front up 1.5" and the rear another 2". What my question is is this an accurate representation of what it will look like? Or are there other factors that play into this? I would really like to know because I thought the 6" made my tires look like doughnuts and the 4" made them look right at home. My tires never came off the ground.
My next question is what are some of the 4" kits that most people buy? I know about the Rancho, but it seems to be a little out of my price range as I just bought Bilstein 5100's around christmas and would just rather use a spacer. So any input is greatly appreciated. I would just like to make the right decision the first time! -Brent

Check out the RCD lift also. Personally, I'd go with the 6 inch lift. I've seen this happen 100's of times. A guy installs a lift and is happy, for a few months. Then he starts thinking about larger tires or more lift. If cost is an issue, go with the 6 inch Pro Comp Stage 1 lift. Then if you decide you want to go bigger, you can add their MX6 coilover, crank up the preload to get 8 inches of lift and fit 37's.

Well I know i'll be driving this truck alot and i'm making 8 an hour. So I know 37s, regear, driveshafts, and the whole loss of being able to use the truck for a truck would probably not be worth it.. I think im pretty set on a 4". I just bought my Toyo m/ts and really like the look of 4". Does anyone know of any other good 4" kits?

rough Country is prob. going to be the best bet price-range. there's a shop here in town(fort walton beach, fl) that recommends RCX. they will order other kits but they swear by the RCX as that is what they have had the best luck with..

the 6" kit relatively new though, which turns a lot of guys off, but from all the people i have talked to that have the RCX kit( theres 4 or 5 here on Hurlburt Field alone), they all love it.

EDIT:

here are some links:

6" $1399.95: http://www.roughcountry.com/ford_4wd_f150_6.html
4" $1299.95: http://www.roughcountry.com/ford_4wd_f150_4.html

Now, at $2335.99, The Trailmaster kit, is a bit more, but its the MOST complete kit on the market as of right now. It comes with everything you need including a new front 1 piece driveline.

these prices are from the manufactures website, so you can prob. find them cheaper elsewhere.

Are you set on suspension lift! You could do 3" body lift and run your 35s for now! Down the road suspension lift + 37s and regear!

Dude id go with a 6inch lift. Your going to regret it later when you see a guy on 35s and 6inches of lift next to you and hes just a tiny bit higher. Trust me it happened to me thats why i bought my 12inch Rize

The thing is my tires are not a true 35x12.5. I went out and measured today and they are really around 34x11.5. They have around 1000 miles on them so i'm not really looking to replace them. So I just think a 6 inch makes them look way to small..
