F150 Leveling Question

Hi, I have a 1993 F150 2X4 XL Long Bed 5.0L. I wanted to know whether or not a 4X4 leveling kit for the same year truck would work on my 2X4.

http://www.daystarweb.com/productdet...?productID=147

That is the link for the kit. If this kit is not compatible then what would you get to level out the truck?

bummer, sorry man, I love the way my truck sits after the level kit, i suppose there aren't too many companies that feel there is a need for aftermarket level kits for late models, THEY ARE WRONG!!!!!! Good luck with your search, I would post under the appropriate year section and see what others with the truck have found

does the 4X4 truck in that year/style sit higer in the front? if so could you swap front end parts to life yours? That would make it about level?

Just a thought.

Honestly I would not know %100 if it sits higher, but my dilemna is that I think the front end is different on a 4X4 as compared to a 2X4 since the leveling kit says it fits a 4X4 and does not say whether or not it would fit a 2X4. But I'm just going off of little information.

The 4x4 and 4x2 suspensions are different. I believe that Daystar makes coilspring spacers for your truck.

I'm sure there is a company that makes either coil spacers, or extended coils to level the older gen. F150's...

You may also need new camber/caster bushings to align the truck. There may not be enough adjustment in the stockers... You'll just have to see.

Ok, thanks for the info. I'll look into extended coils too. I never thought about that.

Ya, I found 2" extended coils online. Downside is that they cost $260 vs. about $130 for spacers.

Ok, I've been on google and found coil spacers for 1983-1996 Ford Bronco. The kit says it fits 2wd/4wd bronco's. I looked up the part numbers for the bronco coils and f150 coils for 1993 and the part numbers are the same. So they should work.

This is the link for the spacers.
