6 Inch Lift and strut question
6 Inch Lift and strut question
I have a procomp 6 inch lift stage 1.
I would like to get rid of the 6 inch spacers up front.
Is there a way to use a new strut and stock coil setup to do this. Or is the spacer or new coilovers the only options I have.
Ive read a little about the fabtech and some on bilsteins. but haven't found out what shock to buy and if this is really possible to do without the spacers or new coilovers.
thanks in advance

im in the same boat you are. ive done some research and what im going to do is get the bilstein 6" 5100 shocks ( there made specially for 4 to 6 inch lifted trucks) and that will eliminate the stage one spacer. they run about 300 for the pair. then if you wanted, you could do like im going to do and add a leveling kit on top of the strut to give it an extra 2 inches and add a leaf in the rear.
I did some more research and have come to the same thing with the Bilsteins.
05SilvrFX4 has some skyjacker coilovers and I was debating on those or going with Bilsteins.
Haven't made up my mind yet. trying to find out more on the skyjackers and if those would be better than the Bilsteins and stock coils?
Any ideas on that.
And I also have a 2inch level kit. Now that I have deleted the spacer issue.. I might add the level kit and AAl also. Not sure if I want the extra inches.
I'll probably go 6.. and then decide, since the level and AAL are easy installs.
