Hmm..to lift or not to lift..
Hey pick-up owners help me out here, I've been thinking of having a 3-inch body lift put on, but I'm not sure how it would look with the factory tire diameter. I recently had new wheels and tires put on and don't want to buy new tires again. I did some searches, but I can't find any pictures of trucks that have lifts without also having bigger tires. Will it look dumb if I get a lift without bigger tires, even just 3 inches? Has anyone on here done this and has pictures?
Well my brother used to have an f150 like mine with 33s and a 4-inch body lift, it looked pretty good. It didn't have the towing package though, so I'm not sure how that would look with a lift either.
I have the same, but slightly different, concern. I have an 05 Screw FX4 with 3" of stock rake. It feels like I'm always going down hill. All I'd like to do is use a 2" auto spring on the front and worry my wheels (265 60R 18's) will look dumb too. The only way to find out is try it I guess.

I was looking on e-bay, there are suspension lifts on there for not much more money..are they more expensive to have installed? Please bear with me here I don't know much about lifts. Would a suspension lift change the cv joint angles, would I have to have an alignment after?
Body lifts are not hard to install on our trucks. It's just time consuming work, so most shops charge a lot for labor. Suspension lifts should be a lot more expensive. Which kits are you looking at?
I wasn't looking at any kits specifically..I was looking at some of the other members lift kits, I forgot about adding different gears with bigger tires..that adds up to loads of money, I think I'll just go with a 4 inch body lift and keep the same size tires..it shouldn't look too bad with just 4 inches of lift. Would a lift kit look ok with the factory towing package rake? I'd like to keep it like that in case I need to use it.
jump n that looks pretty nice, it's not the same just looking at pictures..trucks with lift kits look much bigger in person. There's something about a 4x4 with a lift, it just looks right.
