Rear 3 inch block options - question

So I did the whole level kit then spent money on skyjacker rear shocks (total crap, 3 sets of bushing in 4 months, going in the trash) and I finally decided to listen to everyone and I'm putting Bilstien 5100 all the way around but from what I have read the front will sit a tad higher so I wanted to replace the stock blocks with some 3inch.

Other than the Auto Spring Kits which are priced around $120 and the ReadyLift priced around $140 is there any other company that sells a set with u-bolts (steal) for a cheaper price?

I'm also very interested in this. I also read about how the AS kits don't have the bump stop on them. So I don't know if that would detract from them. But i'd just like to know where people are getting theirs!

Ive actually heard the opposite. Add a leaf makes your ride stiff.

What to do what to do....

I did the Readylift 3" blocks and it did not change my ride at all. I spent the extra $ on the Readylift because they have the bumpstops and are powdercoated. I've heard the AS blocks will look rusty after the first time they get wet and no bumpstops.

I've been debating this same thing for the last month or so. I've decided the best alternative is to just spend another $120 and get the airbags. Just waiting to save up a little more money then ordering the Firestones, without the compressor. May add the compressor later.

I have also thought about doing this instead of blocks or add a leaf. For the extra money it seems the overall best solution.

That's my thoughts. The add-a-leaf is gonna net more lift than I want plus make a stiffer ride. The block solves nothing from a towing standpoint, still sags when loaded and no better handling.

The bags, IMHO, give you all the above and more. You can adjust ride height and quality to suit, find that "happy medium". You also get to adjust them to your towing needs as required.

I got the extra 1" block to stack on the stock with my rough country kit and it rides no different.

David,

Autoanything is running a July special and I just placed an order for the air bags. $255 shipped to my door.

Enter code EJL101CC (gets you $25 bucks off and free shipping, only good till July 7th).

When you get that installed take some pics and post up. I'd like to see the inflate/deflate valves mounted. Should be a pretty simple install from what I've seen.

Good luck,

David

Sure will. I hope to have it by next Wednesday as I'm tackling the spark plug change and I need something to occupy my time while the plugs soak in pb blaster.
