Leveling my f150
i have a 2006 xlt ext cab 4x4, went with the 2.5 inch leveling kit. it left the front about 3/4 inch higher than the rear, at least to my eyes,i did not measure afterward to be exact. it drove me nuts, so i ended up buying a plain old leaf (long) to go under the top leaf. it raised it about 1 inch above the front height, so i have some rake again, but am happier with it, and like the way it looks now.

Diggler,
I get it now. I'm trying to do the same thing with my 2001 Screw. I ran out of bolt on my torsion bar at 1" lift. I wanted to go 2" and add an inch in the back.
I have another post open about this if anyone has any suggestions.

if you want to know which size to get, measure from the center of the rim to the wheel well lip. then jack up the front end from in between the a-arms until it reaches the hight you are looking for. then remeasure. the front fenders are cut differently than the back whick makes it look like it sits higher in the front. the best place to look is the hood line to the box line. if you go to a Ford dealership, look down the line of trucks..... most of them sit at different hights. jack it up, crack a beer, and see what hight looks best to you. having a couple buddies there for a second poinion isn't a bad idea either.
So here's how it turned out...

I went with a Readylift 3" leveling kit, added a leaf in the rear, and tossed on some 285/65/20 BFG A/T's.
