Bent Frame: Need Advice!!
the 97-03 F-150 uses a two piece frame in which the front section is drivetrain specific (2WD or 4WD). I would imagine that just the front section could be replaced, pending that none of the rear section has been bent.
So he trashed his first F-150, in which you gave him money to get another, which was destroyed again. I would say skip the frame and buy him a nice 21 speed bike with a cute little bell and basket.

Sorry to be jumping on this so late, however, same scenario as "triggers68"...
I have a complete 2001 Donar car with good Frame and body....
Front horns are both bent about 4 inches to the right on my 2003
I still have to dismantle to see the extent of the damage, however am wondering about how significant a frame swap is.....
including stripping down donar truck, then transplanting all the good from my truck....
I do not have a lift, however have a 14' high garage with strong beams to lift a body off...
any thoughts?

stripping every thing down is easy. It's a matter of labeling every thing you pull off and getting it put back together. Not hard, just take photo's and take your time.

x 2 on the pics. I have a two post lift so it was easier for me but still can be done. Just raise the body up slow and watch to make sure everything is disconnected, wires and hoses can hide. I ended up buying a donar frame from a salvage yard in town for $650. They pulled the bed and body off, loaded the frame with all the runninggear on my trailer and told me to bring back what I didnt need. Worked out pretty sweet. Did find out one thing. The truck I had was a Supercrew and the donar was a crewcab and the only difference in the whole frame was the rear cab mounts. The two trucks share the same frame but they shorten the bed to make up the difference. The very rear supercrew cab mounts and the front most bed mounts for the crew cab entertain the same spot, only for the crewcab the mount is flush with the top of the frame cause the bed sits on the frame but as a supercrew cab mount the mount welded to the frame is positioned about an inch or two lower than the top of the frame to give room for the body bushing. I noticed that after I scrapped my old frame so the back of the cab sat up high enough that I had to add some bushings to raise the bed some.
