so I took my 2005 f 150 to sliver lake dunes and ended up jumping it a few times doing about 60 mph as I was filling my tires back up after a full day of dune driving i noticed my shock was broken in half and the coil tower and strut were sideways and my coil was pushed sideways being held in place by my tie rod end. I wanna keep jumping my monster of a truck but I need some ideas to have this not happen again


the truck has a 6 suspension lift and stock shock with some spacer =\

 

if you want to jump a truck go buy an old POS truck and build it correctly.

You will need to weld in reinforcement plates at the top of the strut towers and reinforce the sides of the towers as well.

From the sound of it, you're gonna need new struts at a minimum.

 

I have an 93 ranger that i usually use but i thought my new truck would be fun, not a great idea.

yea theres a jumper, i dont wanna jump but i wanna not be to afraid of a little air and i just would like to beef up the truck to keep things from breaking, just not sure what where to buy anything besides auto zone and places like that which dont have ****
