replace ball joints

How hard is it to replace BJ on a 99 f-150. I'm handy and don't mind getting dirty. Any tips. Thanks

(if you are doing lower BJ) rent a ball joint press from Autozone or your local parts store
have a 2lb or heavier hammer for breaking the BJ from the spindle/knuckle
have a prybar atleast 30" to aid in breaking the BJ from the spindle/knuckle
use a pail or something to hold the spindle/knuckle up when you take the BJs loose

its easy, just buy a balljoint press from tooldiscounter.com unless you never plan on doing them again then you can always rent it, but heres the how-to....figure 6-8hrs if your a first timer....mostly a day job.

i used a pickel fork and hammer to get the lower ball joint broke loose, the uppers I had already replaced previously so I just whacked the control arm with a hammer and they popped right off.
