Question Coilovers with a leveling kit??

So i want to get some new shocks and coilovers. i have been looking at the rancho. but i am afraidwith a leveling kit already that i with kill my cv joints with both. will this be a problem??. i am not sure of the leveling kit it was already on when i bought the truck. it has the spacers and blocks in the back so i'm guessing it's at least a 2.5front 1in back but not sure

The only way you should run coilovers and a leveling kit is if you keep the coilovers at 0" of lift. If you crank up the coilovers and stack the spacer on top it will destroy your truck, I put mine in just to see what it would look like and everything was at extremely bad angles, my UCAs were rubbing the springs so I just took out the spacers before trying to drive it or I probably would have destroyed my entire front end...so...I'd say don't crank up the coilovers if you run that set up and I'm about 99% sure everybody else here will agree.

Yes i agree.

But now you say shocks and coilovers so which one? Are you looking for something like the bilsteins that can replace your oem shocks and can be adjustable up to 2inches? If so you can take off the leveling kit and install the bilsteins with the 2inch setting and be good. It also gives you the leveling kit effect and also the better ride with the shocks.

That or buy some kind of coilover system that is used to replace the oem strut assembly and also gives you the option of up to 3inches of lift but shouldnt go any more than 2.5
