Rancho 5000 bushing ?

I have a 2002 150 fx4 and just purchased the Rancho RS5237 and RS5238 to replace my shocks. The bushings in the new package seem to have a top/bottom because one side is smaller. Other differences from the stock shock and replacement are that the washers and grommets are smaller than the stock.

The question's I have is what order do you install the washers and rubber bushings and second, should I be worried that the washers and grommets are smaller than the original stock?

I call Rancho tech support. They stated that the correct order is cup washer facing up, grommet, frame, grommet, cup washer facing down, nut. I mentioned that there is slop between the grommets and the frame but Rancho said that this would be taken up when the nut is tightened to compress the grommets. I also mentioned that the grommets and washers are much smaller than stock but Rancho seems to think they are adequate.

If I was to buy again, I would not get the Rancho 5000 series.

Not agreeing or disagreeing with the 5000's, but you are waaay over sweating the whole bushing issue. The bushings that come with those shocks are completely fine and will work out completely normal when compressed from tightening the nut.
