2/4 Drop Options for '09 F-150

I'm the happy owner of this beauty:

It's replacing a totaled '98 Flareside:

Anyway, looks like there are two options for the 2/4 drop on the '09 - DJM and Ground Force. If you have either of these, I'd like to get some feedback, pros/cons, etc.

Thanks in advance,

Phil

Nice looking upgrade!! Hope you walked away from that crash ok. I can't help with the lowering at all, Im trying to gather info myself. One thing ive been looking into is the front coil relocators for 2" drop, but at less than $100 I'm trying to find out the downfall of them.

Good luck!

Actually, my wife was driving, and thankfully she came out with only bruises.

The relocators sound like a good option. The price is very attractice also. I imagine that the stock ride quality would be retained. Maybe shorter or relocated shocks are also required?

I have never really been a fan of the ground force kits because they are so over priced.

This would be for the front end only, so your shocks should not need a change, other than whatever you do with the rear. Don't take my word though, I dont even trust myself.

i usually recommend buying used parts but i imagine you will have a hard time finding used stuff for a brand new body style.

and SMOKEin if you need help with an install give me a shout.

I read over 50 pages in the suspension forum tonight and saw you were local and doing side work. I will def drop you a line after my wheels get here next week.
