Fabtech 6" Basic II question.

Okay guys....on approx Monday or so I should be dropping the coin on a Fabtech Basic II 6" kit w/ their performance shocks. My question is this, will it sit level? Or should I go ahead and order a taller block or AAL? And if so what sizes. I cannot stand the cali stance that too many of these kits come with. Also does the kit come w/ the camber bolts necessary to re-align the truck.

Along w/ the lift I'm going with a Saleen grille, 18X9 Addicts 4.5BS, 35" Toyo M/T's and Ranch Hand front and rear Summit bumpers.

Also where's the best price/site to order from? 4wheelonline has the kit for $2350 w/ free shipping?

While I'm at it I'll post the other prices of stuff I'm getting just to make sure you guys think these are the best prices.

Ranch Hand bumpers from Sams4x4 $1109 before shipping

Saleen grille for about $235 before shipping on Ebay

Tread Depot for Toyo M/T's $1175 before shipping

Rimz One Online for Addicts $668 before shipping.

I figure about $80 for re-alignment in this area (Chicagoland area), not sure about price of install of kit, and about $100 to mount and balance wheels/tires. I can install the bumpers with the help of a buddy. I'd do the lift as I've always done all my mods to my vehicles but right now I'm out of time/space/and an extra car for the truck to be tied down ....err jacked up too long lol.

Thanks for any and all info.

Also while we're at it, can anyone point me in the right direction to a good price on King coilovers w/ resi's for the front and King shocks w/ resi's for the rear to go w/ the Fabtech?

For your wheels and tires get a quote from mrwheeldeal.com you can make him an offer and if he accepts you got yourself a damn good deal! Bumpers sound right...search for FoMoCo on here, he's been doing a group buy for quite a while and is sellin em for 215 shipped I believe. Trucks gonna look sick when your done, port pics!

Thanks man. I'm really torn between getting the basic fabtech kit and throwing King's on it....or just going w/ the Dirt Logic Coilovers in front and dirt logic shocks in rear. About a $1000 difference....I don't plan on wheeling my truck as much as I plan on just having it for general use, hunting, fishing, lots of muddy trails, snow 6 months a year, etc.....so I don't think it's more of a need than a want for the King CO's. But like so many others...I want them b/c of what they represent and what they're capable of. Down the road also planning on spare tire carrier, hi lift jack, roof rack, bushwacker pocket flares, etc. Wanna make this a great bugout vehicle, just in case the zombies come. lol.

And you better believe I'll post pics when this is all said and done. Thanks again.

Well after reading Jesse Rohr's testaments about Icon I'm gonna call them up and get a quote, along w/ calling FOA up and see what they can do. Wish I could piece together the fabtech so I don't have to waste money on all the extras I won't be needing....

My Fabtech with their performance shocks sits 100% perfectly level. All 4 wheel wells measure the exact same height off the ground. This was one of the reasons I picked Fabtech, I can't stand rake or bulldog on a lifted truck.

Thank you bro, that was exactly the answer I needed. Now waiting to pull the trigger on all the goodies this week and decide who I'm going w/ for the upper tier of coilover companies. Although I'll never need'em which is why I should just stick w/ the Icon's....resi's just look haha yes i'm sounding poserish, look so wicked mounted in those wheel wells and w/ piggy backed rears.

I have the Dirtlogic Fabtech on my 2006! I absolutely love it! I did go with an AAL as I wasn't totally happy with the stance! ANY amount of weight in the back and your truck wont sit level! At least that is the results I got with mine!

The Kings would probably be real nice, but from the sounds of it, you'll never get the full extent out of them! Even the Dirtlogic coilovers sound like over kill for you style of use! I'd recommend getting the Dirtlogics if you feel you need to fully replace your suspension components! Otherwise the performance shocks will suffice!

Cheers and good luck

I also have a fabtech lift. A leveled truck looks so much better.

My truck sits level with the performance shocks. Aftermarket coilovers can often alter the overall stance. I know the Dirtlogic coilovers make the front sit about an inch higher. Unsure about those others you listed.

Okay thanks guys and look fwd to showing the final product of the truck once all is said and done. I'm gonna get the basic fabtech 6" and go w/ the Icon's front and rear and add a 1.5" AAL to the rear. So even if the truck would be level w/out the AAL, I'll be able to crank up the icon's a lil bit to level it out or have the front sit a half inch lower than the rear. Basically I'm gonna install the icon's at the factory settings/height and install the AAL and see where we're at. I don't wanna raise it too much more than 6" or 7" as then the 35's will start looking small.

Can't wait to see it! Make sure you take you're time getting the right prices with these different places. Trust me.... It's not worth it to pull the trigger just to get your truck lifted a week sooner than you would like it to be. In a month it'll be lifted, so if it takes a couple extra days to find a better price it won't make any difference then. I did read thru all the posts and it sounds like you've made some really good choices here. Just wanted to give you my .02 which is tax deductable! Not let us see some pics when she's done!

Haha yep and thanks man. I've been doing lots and lots of price shopping and everytime I find a lower price on an object I want....I save it for future reference. I still need to get ahold of BlackPlatBDS and find out where exactly he got his Ranch Hand bumpers b/c he got his for about $300 cheaper than anywhere I've seen....and that $300 saved can be put towards the freight shipping it's gonna cost to get the bumpers to IL. (Getting ready to move back to that stupid state lol....gonna miss Indiana but it'll be a closer commute to work and I'm putting way too many miles on the truck, plus moving I'll be able to ride the train to work and not have to drive...hence the reason I'm going ahead and jacking up the truck).

Thanks again and trust me I can't wait to pic ***** lol.

Yeah man I feel you about the commute. I put about 300 miles a week on average on my truck.... I'm sick of bad mpgs. I really want to take my body lift off and put a 6" susp on. I don't know if that'd make a diff or not. I just know my frame hangs down low and it seems like that is a major wind resistor. And I want more clearance
