rearend chatter

Hi All,

My 01 screw is largely stock, but i have added an extreme bumper/winch/hilift
up front.

with all that weight, i needed the 7700 tbar pkg. 33" rubber (love those mt/r's with kevlar!).

my off-road 4x4 is a bit lifted from the factory, not a lot. i am sure i am a bit nose heavy.

still, going into a curve a little hot, my rear suspension starts hopping up & down making my rear swing out.

would some kind, knowledgeable soul tell me what is wrong and a good way to fix it?
traction bars, more leaves in the rear springs??

tia, jackc...

I assume when you say "a little hot" you mean you are heavy on the throttle while turning?
Do you have an automatic locker in the rear? Have you put new gear oil in without limited slip additive?

It is hard to tell from your description if you are getting axle wrap or if you're getting the effect of having the rear locked.

sorry to be unclear. imagine a long sweeping freeway on ramp with bumps in the
pavement. by hot, i mean doing 70 or so, not hard on the accelerator,
just moving fast.

when the rear end hits those bumps, the 'chatter' begins and my tail starts
heading for the outside of the turn.

no locker, just oem diff.

so you suggest i have axle wrap even though i am not heavy on the pedal?

Thx!!

From the last description is sounds more like your shocks are just worn out, and/or you have too much PSI in your tires.
