Too much play in UCA
The problem is with their websites. You are searching 2008, and moog probably never updated their part numbers for the last year or two of that model. Look under 2006 at rockauto.com and you will see the parts there under suspension -> control arm and suspension -> ball joint.
There they were, right where you said they would be. Thanks a million. I never even thought to try an earlier year...you would think, hey, it's 2010, they should have part #'s for '08s by now! Thanks again
Order placed through Rock Auto. Moog L/R UCAs and lower BJs. Came out at just under $240, not too shabby
. It definitely beats DIY for $240 as opposed to stealership for $700! Already got the HBS spacers, once the Moog shipment comes in I get to work!
On a side not, I'm now wondering about replacing front strut assembly. Have 50k on the truck, what do the stockers typically last for? 75-100k? I was thinking the Bilstein heavy duty shocks, complete set front and rear from shockwarehouse.com for $392.40 and free shipping, but don't know if I have that money to drop yet, especially if the stock ones are fine. The feel fine when driving, they seem to dampen fine.

You should just send the spacer back and order new Bilstein 5100 shocks, and set the fronts on the +2" setting. I've written about the cons of spacers before.
The 2.5" spacer is going to allow the front suspension to droop 2.5" beyond stock design. Normally the upper control arm contacts the spring when it droops, also causing noise. It also places excess stress on the ball joints and CV joints by letting them reach extreme angles.
The Bilstein 5100 shocks are slightly longer than stock, but limit the front suspension before the suspension is allowed to reach extreme angles.

Good info, I think though I'm just gonna try the spacers. I've read literally hundreds of posts on both spacers and bilstein 5100s, and the bilsteins definately get the vote, but there are very very few people who ran spacers that complained of any issues. The CVs wouldn't be an issue in NBS trucks though, unless in 4wd as they do not rotate until 4 wheel is engaged, correct? I've also read somewhere that the Moog UCAs allow for more of an angle on the ball joint compared to stock UCAs or something like that. Thanks for all the great info anyhow.
My recommendation is don't order new shocks yet then. Run the spacers for a while and see what you think. You may change your mind.
I have talked to a handful of people personally who swapped from spacers to bilstein 5100s and wish they never tried the spacers in the first place, for what it's worth.
Even though the CV joints aren't turning in 2wd, you are still exposing them to the same angles that can cause damage to them and the boots. When you're in 4x4 and you allow the suspension to fully droop you may really be asking for it.
Just my $.02

I'll definitely take your advice in mind, thanks for the recommendations. I just may decide after a while I want to go with the 5100s, or then again, I may shoot for the moon and do a lift with King or Camburg coilovers!
