Question Level kit question

I have a 2005 fx4 screw and i am not sure if i have a level kit or not, it has a "ok" stance, depending on what surface its parked on. I bought this truck a couple years ago and thought it had a level kit on but now i have my doubts, it does not have anything that really resembles a level kit above the coil, but in the coil at the top of the spring there is a round rubber piece sitting between the top two coils. Is this a cheaper way to level it by putting this between the coils, or is this something factory. I have read that a level kit like one from hellbent doesnt sacrifce ride but my truck rides like a tank. I think the ride may be associated due to this rubber spacer if its not factory. I will try to post some pics if needed. Thanks in advance.
