New front end work done. Confused..

I had a 2 inch AS level on my truck and it made the front about half inch higher then the rear. So I got a 1.5 inch AS level. While I was at it I got some new bilstein shocks for the front aswell. Had everything installed today. Now The front still sits at about the same height as it did before. Even with the smaller level. Whats going on? Is it the shocks? Do they need to be "broken in" per se and the truck will eventually settle in lower?

The Bilsteins are a gas pressurized shock. The old shocks were probably worn out a bit (probably easily compressed by hand) so you end up with a tiny bit of extra height. The may/probably will settle down a bit with a few miles.

Thanks for the replies. Around how many miles do you think it'll take for them to really settle in? Think it'll settle a half inch or so?

Throw some add a leafs in the back.. they add close to an inch. Truck can use and extra leaf anyways... I don't tow anything, bought from the original owner who never did either and 8 60lb bags of concrete int he back had her squatting lol.

if they don't settle throw an add a leaf in the back it give you some rake back. They are very easy to install with basic tools and take about 1-2 hours.

If I wanted an AAL, I would have done that from the beginning.

Add a 3" block in the rear tempararily until it settles. Where did you pick up the Bilsteins? I need a set and I've heard they are on worldwide back order.

You heard right. Ordered mine back in December and they just came in last week. The yellow Bilsteins are apparently starting to trickle in now. Got them from 4WheelParts.
