Time has come, 8" Rize

Well, the 8" suspension, 6" rear blocks, 4" skyjacker leaf spring kit, brake line kit have all showed up, therefore this Friday the truck can go in to be torn down, and built back up

The Rize kit, is, well, stout! build great, welds flawless, finish amazing!

King is being slow, still waiting on the front coilovers and rear piggyback shocks but I have been assured they should be here by next tuesday.

Also before anyone ask, I am going with the 6" block and 4" skyjacker spring pack because the 6" Rize block is needed to run the Rize traction bars, apparently there is no way around that. So yes, this means I will be getting the traction bars as soon as Rize chooses to build some more.

The truck is going in for a huge transformation which in the end will total 10.5-11" in the front, and 10" out back. The goal is to simply have a level, lifted, non rubbing pavement pounding boat pulling beauty queen. Yes, she will get dirty, just not beaten

So this Friday, March 5th two forum members trucks go in for surgury, and both come out looking better than ever.

Damn that was a quick change....... Sounds like someone else I know.....ME!!!!!

You already running different gears? Done any thinking about the driveshafts or are you just going to toss the dice and hope they pan out?

Since you've seen both up close and personal, how would you compare the build and quality between the BDS and Rize?

I could have sworn this was BlackPlatBDS's thread about his build...... why not start your own(more like "another" since I've seen you start more than a couple on the topic of your new lift) thread to ask such questions so as to not steal his thunder?

tlt008,
Both are great kits, but again, you get what you pay for. I wouldnt shy away from either kit at all, it simply comes down to what size kit your looking to get. The BDS kit was built great, the Rize kit is built great, I just wanted to go bigger and the deal im getting on this whole swap is barely costing me much at all.

I already have 4.88's F+R so gearing is out of the way, driveshafts I have in check as well. These guys will be making mine locally http://www.driveshaftspecialist.com/Truckhtml/Ford.html just got to get the truck up in the air before measurments and whatnot can be done. Looking at the two peice alumminum shaft, as mine currently looks like a rusted peice of poo.

mhockey,
I have no idea what you are going to need to do, but I would think an 8" brake line kit would fail to work on 14"+ of lift. You plan to run 12+2 in the front, and 12+ in the rear correct ? i would go custom, do it right the first time.

thejake,
It will be staying the Rize color, it matches the platinum on the truck pretty well so it brings some nice contrast to everything.

fx,
I will be posting a boatload of pics once it is all done.
