Rize 2.5 leveling kit - need to modify control arm mounts?
thanks for info on auto spring but that will not put truck at right heigth to clear tires. do you think holes can be drilled lower to mount control arms. there is plenty of room to move them down. this will push top of spindle over to straighten tire up and relieve pressure on ball joint. right????
So had the kit actually yeilded you the advertised 2.5", the wheels and tires you purchased would not have worked?
Sounds like poor planning is the root of the problem and not the leveling kit

I just looked at your photos. I did my AutoSpring 2.5" kit last week. I wanted to note a couple of things.
One: On a 2.5" level kit, the "puck" shouldn't actually be 2.5". It'll be smaller just like someone has already said. When I looked at your pictures, I could see the "puck" once it was on the truck. My guess is that the kit they sold you is actually too big. I understand not wanting to spend more money...just raise some hell with the company you got it from. The squeaky wheel gets the most grease!

Two: When I did mine, the truck seemed to sit high until I got my alignment done. I even thought it looked like it was popping a wheelie! Maybe that's all it would take to get your truck to settle a bit. This is a picture after the level but before the alignment:

Best of luck!
