Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about rough country lifts?

^ lol.... Im assuming you're waiting for all the people to start chiming in and arguing about it

Well Ill start. Not many people have it on here. RCX just came out with a 4" lift a few months back, but they've also had the 6" out for quite some time now... IMHO despite what other people say, I think its a pretty good lift for what you're paying for it.... Keep in mind, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I am by no means saying don't do the RCX lift... I considered it a lot leading up to putting on my body lift... In the end I went with the BL b/c I decided I wanted to fit bigger tires w/o rubbing and that I didn't want a full 6" of lift.... well truth be know, I am now looking into lifting my truck even more (you'll always want to go higher) and the RCX is one I will seriously consider again, but there are other companies out there that offer some pretty sweet deals. Like BDS for example, if you EVER break a part, they will replace it for free - no questions asked. Deals like those are enticing, yet more costly up front. I have yet to hear anyone complain about the RCX lift who has the lift -or had it- on their truck.

Most people will probly tell you the same regarding the build of the kit... The subframe is weak.... well while it is not as strong looking as some of the other kits I've seen, that doesn't make it weak. And that's another thing to consider, how into offroading are you? That's where you'll want to decide on what to go with. That, and what kinda ride you want. Coilovers provide a better ride than spacers do on top of stock coils. If you're the everyday on the trail guy, then ya, I'd consider it, but Id be looking into Fabtech or BDS, something with coilovers.

Hopes this helps ya man!

I'm not gonna go offroading everyday. It's a daily driver that might see some mud once a month tops. The lifts more for looks and some more tire clearance. I'm thinking about putting their 4" inch on my 2002 f150. thanks for the input

I am running the rough country 6 inch lift on my 05 f150 fx4. I can say that i have no problems with the lift. I was surprised at how good the truck actually rides after the lift was installed. If you have any questions you can holler at me on my profile.

yea nobody seems to like this kit but i cant imagine why... ive been running it on my truck since christmas and its great. the only thing is the lack of cambolts in the front make it hard to keep alligned but some beefy washer will take care of that. The pro-comp kit was to plain looking and the front but the rcx's front crosmember is compared to Rise's IMO

The only ones that talk crap are the ones that dont own it. Im in the predicament myself. My truck is strictly a street queen and for the price this lift cant be beat ( i dont think). For those of you that bought the rough country lift, did you buy the kicker braces along with it. I dont know what they are i just saw them offered with the kit??

What purpose do the kicker braces serve? Can you even see them under there?
