Readylift vs. AS leveling kits?

Which one is better? Most of my vendor buddies prefer the RL for some reason but I noticed a lot of people on here have AS. Any preference?

I would say based on price alone, the AS is better. I have no experience with either, but the RL is $229.95 and the AS is somehwere around 70 or so.

I just ordered the AS for the front and the Readylift blocks for the rear. The whole set up was $225. IMO the Readylift rear block kit is a lot nicer than the AS. I havn't put them on yet.

The only difference is price. Why would someone pay tripple the price for the same product?

I'm curious why the price is so different. You usually get what you pay for. So there is absolutely no difference in construction, installation, or functionality?

They are both just steel spacers, not much to them. However a few people on here have bought the 2 inch AS kits for the 09s and it has actually raised their truck closer to 3 inches. I had a RL on my old Tundra and it was fine. Just research them both and read what people have to say.

I bought the powdercoated AS front spacers because of the off set. As far as the rear blocks go the readylift has the bump stop pads unlike the AS. And the ubolts on the AS are not coated and will look rusty after the first rain you see. The Readylift ubolts are coated, seemed like a no brainer to get the RL for $25 more.

Pardon my ignorance but does the RL kit not have an offset design?...and what does that really mean for my truck anyways?

Personally, I could go either way. All I do know is that every local dealer I have talked to, as well as online vendors, say to go with the RL vs. the AS for some reason. Not sure why, especially if the AS is cheaper and better.

Probably because I have only seen AS online and they sell the RL. The offset design they say helps with a thing I think they call "bumpstop?" I'm not sure since I never had one of the first kits. All I ever had was the offset. Brent

I have buddys that have ready lift and autospring and they have both held up fine. ready lift is just a name you pay for. I am ordering the autospring for my pick up but some people pay more for the same exact product you can get for 70-80 bucks shipped to your door.

The "offset" helps with the angles up front from leveling. I would agree that AS and RL are the same for the front, but the AS is cheaper. The rear blocks though are different and the RL is a nicer product.

I saw you went with Bilsteins in your other thread. Are those the leveling shocks? What's the advantage to that over a kit?

The advantage is that you get a "firmer" ride. I would have kept my AS kit, but my dad said hed help me get new shocks. I don't think I would have bought new ones if it weren't for that. One thing I did like with my AS kit was that it made it sit level, as the shocks make it a little lower in the front.

You couldn't get your truck level using the Bilstiens? That's surprising.

I'm still debating whether to get the AS or wait till March when the Bilstiens are supposed to be out. Huge price difference though.
