2 inch lift

i've got a 2002 regular cab four wheel drive. im looking for a 2 inch suspension lift that doesn't have to do with the torsion bars or rear blocks. anyone know of anything?

No, there is no such product. A body lift is your best bet.

Aftermarket torsion bar adjustment keys have to be the worst product ever made. THey allow you to put way, way too much preload on your torsion bars which will increase wear and tear on your front end and destroy your ride quality. Just crank up your torsion bars with the OEM keys.

OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer. If you want to lift the rear a little, I'd remove the OEM 2 inch block and install a 3 inch block.

I'd suggest the 4 inch Rancho, 5 inch RCD or 6 inch Fabtech or BDS lifts.

I don't know how you define "crazy expensive", but this kit http://www.central4wd.com/inventoryd...3;folder|98364
is a great option because it comes complete. You get brake lines in it, for example.

Stay away from A arm bracket kits. They are hard to keep aligned and you will spend more in tires down the road.

A good knuckle kit is worth the money. A "complete" kit for your truck includes brake lines because stretching the factory ones might be fine for a while, but I don't like the idea of losing my brakes. It also will include lateral compression struts, even for street use. Finally, some kits are sold without a differential skid plate. This plate not only protects the diff, it ties the two cross members together for strength.

It's going to be hard to get all that for a grand. If that's your budget you should do a 3" body lift and gap guards. Keep the factory ride.

If all you want is 4" that might be a good choice. It says you can get 35" on it, but I doubt you could do that without a lot of trimming. Also, I would upgrade to the gas shocks, which are standard in a higher quality kit.

Any lift bigger than 4" should come with lateral compression struts, the long ones from the rear cross member to the frame.

Is the RCD 5" kit with Bilstein 5100 Shocks, not bad for $999.99
