2006 screw body lift question
2006 screw body lift question
hey, i was interested in installing a body lift on my 06 screw...i didn't think it would be that hard to install as i have access to tools and a lift...but when shopping around I was told that the body lift on a 04 and up f150 was a real pain to install...has any one done this and could give me a little more info on what little things need to be done at the same time as the body lift and why its such a hassle.
thanks very much

Hey man i did mine and this is a time consuming process but no means hard you need to have a good cutter and welder if you dont trust bolts like me on the rear bumper i bolted and welded this into place. But im sure you can do it if ya have a ? i can give you my cell number i could walk you through this process
thanks alot man...i'm planning on doing it this spring. did you run into any problems along the way...i was wondering about the rad and if the kit came with brakets...and also things like brake lines and stuff like that!
thanks again
thanks again
No real problems soak your bolts the night before with pb blaster and they will come right out buy some extra lock tite as they do not give you enough for my liking. Your front rad mounts need to be drilled to 1/2" so i used a 17/32" bit witch works great the 1/2" felt like i was beating threads through the hole. Get a good bit and vise to do this. but keep in mind my ole lady help me do this and she is a prep, and we had the cab and bed done in no time bumpers are where your time goes by. You will need a good cutter and welder is option i just dont trust bolts to hold my bumper on lol, so i welded as well as bolted. But as i said this is not hard just plain to give up a good day or two depends on how many beer you have.
