Fair price to have a leveling kit installed.

I just picked up the AS 2.5" leveling kit and 3" rear block for my 09 Screw. What is a fair/reasonable price to have them installed? Does anyone know of any installers in the Albany NY area?

Grab some a jack and some stands and get into it.. You will love your truck a whole lot more when you get done doing it yourself.

I was charged 300 just for my 3" level kit to be installed, but they had my truck all morning and part of the afternoon and they installed it and aligned it too... I think they were charging like 50 for alignment, so probly 250 just for install. kinda pricey... now looking back and seeing the threads on how to do it yourself, I would recommend that you do it yourself and then have it aligned.

I had ZIP experience with stuff like this but after some searching and having the guide from Hell Bent Steel I did it myself. Took me about 4 hours but that was because I was taking my time, reading 3-4 times and a few beer/smoke breaks. Not hard at all, just make sure you get an alignment after you do it.

I had my dealer do mine 30 days after I bought it new. They charged me about $275 to install it and re-align it.

There is no fair price to put on a leveling kit. 4 nuts in the front per side and 4 nuts in the rear per side and 40 minutes later its done. I would atleast try it yourself before giving up the dough. Someone on here could talk you through it. If you need help or have questions just ask and you shall receive. I have many of times.

I got an estimate for 100$ they said they had to drop the LCA and pull the UCA's and needed a coil spring compresser. In two hours I did it my self, with no coil spring compresser, do it yourself.

The upper ball from the knuckle, 3 upper strut nuts and lower shock bolt is all that needs to be dropped for the front.

Not on the OBS. Meaning a good price for your NBS leveling kit should be <100$.

Just a little further, I tried to do it myself but gave up on the weather cooperating (I don't have a garage or level driveway) and had it done at a local garage. Both front and rear kits plus alignment and tax = $290.00. Pics in my gallery.

My favorite mechanic installed my AS 2" leveling spacers for $128 but I decided to take it back to me dealer for the alignment and headlamp adjustments. Big Mistake !!! I ended up with a $230 bill for that part. That's the last time I get any work done there, unless it's under warranty.

Interesting though was that my front is now 1" higher that the rear. Measuring at each wheelwell opening from the ground I now have 40" in the front and 39" at the rear after the install. Prior to that I had 39" at the rear and 37-1/2" at the front. So, I ended up higher in the front than I wanted with the 2" kit. You don't really notice it by looking though, well I don't anyway, but I'm wondering now if I should have just done their 1-1/2" spacer.

i got quoted 100$ for my 2.5 level, and paid another 50 for alignment. I did it myself though with some help from a friend and it really does make you appreciate it a lot more

I was quoted slightly over $300 for mine. So i just Bought the spacer for $50 off of jcwhitney and did it myself. Then an alignment was like $50-$60. So needless to say i saved about $200 dollars doing it myself. and like others have said, it makes you appreciate your truck alot more!
