hey yall well we got a ton of snow in nj
i been runnin around in the snow and im gettin a weird popin noise from the front of the truck when im in 4 wheel drive
its only when i put in gears any ideas of wat it could be??

Are you on a hard surface, where your tires get good traction? Because a buddy of mine put my truck in 4WD when it was on asphalt, and it popped really bad. Another friend of mine said that it was because the tires had traction and didn't allow the gears to line up until it was put in drive.

 

half shafts are making the noise. Mine do when i mud. Maybe they are hitting something else or possibly bad

 

yeah my 4wd pops when i make sharp turns while riding through mud or dirt. i've been told that it's normal but idk
