I'd look into a superduty to get the Dana 60 in the front. I think excursions have a Dana 50. Both should have the 10.5 rear.

Both axles have the D60 outer...but the internals are completely different.

D50's have a 8.5" ring gear, 26 spline pinion, 30 spline axles, 10 ring gear bolts.
D60's have a 9.75" ring gear, 29 spline pinion, 35 spline axles, 12 ring gear bolts.

You could probably get away with using the 50's since they wont cost you anything...but the 60 is a far superior beefier axle. What year X is the axle coming out of? Before 1998 the D50's were not a true solid axle if I remember correctly.

Im not 100% on the year but it is no older than a 2000 because thats the first year they were made and it has the v-10 gas engine. How much am i looking at to have a suspension place put the axles on the truck?

depends on the shop. A quality shop thats gonna do both front and rear axle swap and get all the odds and ends is what you want. Only thing you should have to have is the axles, tires, wheels, and possibly springs. The shop should beable to get the rest thats needed. You should only be looking at around 20-25 hours MAX for the swap and thats a stretch.

you are looking around 5-10k to have it from start to finish.

But if you use your current tires, then that will save you some money. You will save money on the axles, the rims are gonna cost you.

Theres people that will tell you it can be done cheaper, its not true unless you sacrifice something... this is not something you want to cheap out on. I know ive been there. Ive got over 4k in mine now and putting another 11k in the next few months.

You can do it for alot cheaper yourself, if you can handle the task. Farmboy Fabrications offers SEMI-KITS that offer alot of the meat to the build

You can live with the D50 depending on what you are doing with the truck. I have complaints with mine, but no more than the D60 of the same year (unit bearings, ball joints, etc)

Depends on the level of abuse, but yes, the D50 can work no problem.
