Body lift installation

I have a 03 f 150 fx4 ex cab and thinking bout putting a 3" body on it..I had a 2000 Z71 and put it on myself and it wasnt hard at all but the fords look a little different..Looks like the bolts go in from the top instead of the bottom like the chevy..Is this procedure a bad job to tackle or is it pretty much the same as doing the other truck, just different ways it bolts up? thanks

No, it's not much harder than a Chevy. As you said, the difference is that the Ford's body mount bolts go down through the cab. This means you have to remove a few interior trim pieces and pull the edge of the carpet back. The worse part is that Ford uses a round nut/bushing on the bottom. This means you will have to have someone hold this round nut/bushing with a pipe wrench or large pair of channel locks while you remove and install the bolts.

Oh ok thank you for the feedback..I sasw where I can get a 3" body for 179.95 so I would be crazy not to do that if I can install it myself and save the installation fee.. I just hope it looks right with the 285/70 cooper stt tires that I have on it with the stock FX4 rims for now

It'll look ok, but it will look great when you add wider aftermarket wheels or 35's or both.
