RIZE King Coilover Problems

I've got an 05 screw with 8" Rize. Put King Piggybacks in the rear, and king coil overs in the front. I have tried and tried and tried some more to crank the coilovers to gain more lift. The problem is that they just will not budge. So today I took the whole thing out of the truck to compress the spring, and I notice that the adjuster collar is cross threaded on the shock shaft. Has anyone heard of this happening?? I have exhausted all of my ideas, and have no idea what to do about it???

wouldnt that be a manufacturer default. Maybe its time to see this warranty that everyone talks about from KING.

Just my opinion

I wish it was that easy. I bought these second hand, so i have no idea how the warranty system works. I doubt they would be covered

Could be one of three things

Could the be the aluminum adjuster nut is crossed up on the steel threads of shock body

Could be a defect in the steel thread on the shock body itself

Or it could also be from the aluminum nut that holds the steel locking stud. If the stud is tight/or was tight and was turned, you can imagine what the threads would look like. My guess would be a mess from steel on steel.

I'd try to back the aluminum nut all the way to the top and check out what the threads look like.

Are you talking about the little allen key screw that pinches the collar tight? It was loose when we tried to crank em up. Now i cant move it all when i spin the adjusting collar, it spins the entire shock body instead
