Shock size

I'm about to replace my shocks with Bilstein HDs and am wanting to make sure I'm not messing up with an improper size.

My worry is that my truck has an aftermarket airlift suspension (the type that you inflate manually) that was on it when I bought it. I don't know if that gives any lift to the truck nor do I know if the torsion bars have been cranked any to raise/level out the front.

I'm just wanting some feedback to make sure that an OEM sized replacement shock is correct.

Yes, stock length, stock replacement shocks is what you want. Air bags and/or cranked torsion bars are irrelevant. They have zero bearing on what shock you use. Without going into to muh detail, neither one of those items lift the truck in the tradational (lift kit) sense...they simply alter where the truck sits in the suspensions normal (stock) range of travel.

Thanks! THat's what I was thinking...since I wouldn't expect you'd have to change out shocks just to adjust your torsion bar. I figured I'd post the issue to those of you much more knowledgeable than I before I go and do something out of ignorance!
