Going from 3" block to 5"

PerformanceLifts.com is advising me that they think going from a 3" block to 5" block in the rear to level my truck will cause me to have to change a lot of hardware (extending lines etc). What do you guys think - I have a 6" fabtech lift already which included the 3 inch block and a bumpstop.

Thanks in advance.

There is no extra hardware required...my fabtech kit came with a 3" block and i changed it out for the 5" block...its easy and takes about 30mins...just make sure you get long enough u-bolts....

Thanks for that info - did your shocks have enough travel? It was the 6" fabtech lift you have right?

You will not need to extend any lines, I have a 4 inch block and a 3 inch body lift and I didn't need to extend my lines.

My Fabtech 6 inch kit came with its own Fabtech model shocks. I'm not sure if your rancho shocks will have enough travel. It would all depend on the model. I would think rancho makes shocks that would work in your application, I just don't know if those are the ones you have. I might not hurt to call rancho and give them your model of shocks and see if they can provide you with any info.

You probally will definetly need longer U-bolts though.

might want to consider going to a lift spring to avoid the axle wrap
