Lowering my HD....

Just picked up a 07 HD and I'm looking at lowering it. I did a lot of searching and still cant tell if the HD when stock is the same height as a regualr Crew Cab. Anyway I was looking at a 2in. front, 4in rear drop. Does anyone know if the 22" rims will have a problem with clearance?? I dont want it too low but I do want it noticibly lower. Any suggestions?

thanks guys

a 2/5 should level it or get it close to level. the 2/4 will be noticeable for sure. what size tires on the 22's? i don't think they will rub unless they are over a 305/40... congrats on the purchase and welcome to the site!!!

Is your HD an Awd? That may factor into your lowering plans.

Thanks Mixedbreed, glad to be here and thanks for the input. So you're saying that 305's should be okay? You got a nice truck bro thats the stance I want but I notice you got 24's huh. Stealth i think its a 2wd model. How would the AWD make a difference? So you guys know if the stock height on the HD is the same as like a Lariat?

Looking at the different kits, Ive norrowed it down to the DJM and the Ground Force. DJM has LCA's but the Ground Force doesn't. Recommendations????

thanks again

AWD.. or 4x4 as I'm referring to does make a difference in height. 4x4's sit about 1 inch higher in the front due to the struts and 1 5/8" higher in the back due to the blocks.

Also, just a guess, but I think the HD might sit a little higher. Probably 4 leafs instead of 3?

yeah the AWD would make a huge diff. look at this thread for info lowering a 4wd the info in there is from some pretty smart folks. also tlt008 just dropped his 4wd (so it should be time for him to lift it or bag it at the rate he changes set ups ) so he will have some info. i have a complete eibach set-up and love it. i hear good about all the kits so it is really up to you.

thanks for the info guys. Funny now I just looked at the Beltech kit. 3 kits....3 different styles. Beltech has drop spindles. DJM has lower control arms. The Ground Force has springs. Unbelievable!!!

I'm running the Ground Force GF9949 (2" drop coils and 4" drop leafs) with the Eibach pro damper kit 35112.840 (shock absorbers). I'm on black Boss Motorsports 313 22"x9.5" wheels on 305/40-22 tires. Truck rides like a dream.

Awesome truck stealth!! Thats exactly the stance I want. I guess its the 2 / 4 for sure. Looking more at the DJM LCAs though. Wont affect my suspension that way. Not positive though.

thanks
