I would agree with most of the posts above. The bitterness of dealing with poor quality lasts much longer than the thrill of a low price.

Two things to look at on this truck are brake lines and front driveline. A good kit for the '04-'08 F150 will include the brake lines because you just can't streach the factory ones long enough to do it right. There is a thread around here somewhere about this....
The other thing is the driveline. Most of the lift kit manufacturers require some driveline modification in their instructions for doing a lift on this truck. One that I know of includes a driveline in the kit. But I suspect that fewer than 10% of the installers out there actually do it. They know that the real damage will happen thousands of miles down the road and they won't have to deal with it. If you buy a used truck and the U-joints go out 5,000 miles later, get out your check book.

I'd say, buy it, my Bronco came lifted. I haven't dumped any money into it,except for newer wheels, and tires when it was time. I think most of the time you can tell if a truck looks used and abused, steer clear of those. But these trucks cost a fortune to lift, $1500 for the lift, $1500 in labor, $2500 and up, for wheels and tires, and IMO dealers just want to unload a lifted truck, the general public is just not interested in them.

Definitely ProComp by looking at the bars to the rear of the front suspension. That and the tell-tail sagging rear end.
