ProComp Leveled?

Alrighty guys.. I went ahead and picked up an AAL (13134) for my rear end to help fix the 1 1/2" sag I had with my ProComp 6" Stage 1 lift. I went ahead and had my local off road shop install it today and it seems ride just as good as before.. if not better on the bumpy roads in town, although I dunno how that would be possible?

Anywho, I snapped a couple pics a second ago, what do you guys think? Looks leveled enough huh? The only thing is.. I think they may have installed it wrong.. lol

I coulda swore the leaf springs were supposed to go from shorter to long, but it looks like they may have accidently put the AAL in the wrong spot. Apparently I only had 2 leaf springs to begin with, plus the one helper spring, so the diagram for the install may have been confusing. Is it really that big of a deal? The install was only $60.. so I don't feel like complaining unless this is unsafe..

Here's some dirty pics.. lol

Looks good man! I dont think it really matters which way, cause my Aal is actually is right above my helper spring. I'm not really sure which way it is suppose to be.

Why is it that I want to put on 37"s now? lol.. j/k

seriously though, would they even fit with only the 6" in the front.. looks like plenty of room to me, but I dunno.

I just double checked your sig to be sure, to me those tires and wheel look like 33s on 18s with all of that room.

Train's a leaving the station...next stop 37 town.

Looks great! I think we have the same truck and lift. The saggy *** has really been bothering me lately. Mind sharing the part and where you got it? Is anything else needed, like a new or extended driveshaft? Mine is still stock, and I have the 4" spacer stacked on the stock spacer.

Looks good to me. Where were you thinking the AAL should have gone?

Thanks. Yea, I never really noticed the difference at first, but now it just looks so much better.. the rear was sagging 1 1/2" with the 6" ProComp lift. I got the AAL from summitracing.com, it was $107 with shipping, it only took a couple days after I ordered it too.. it's part #13134
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EXP-13134/

I'm still running the stock driveshaft, and haven't heard or seen anything about a extension.. as long as the rear end doesn't fall apart, I'll be happy. and yea, I still have the stacked blocks in the rear.. it doesn't seem like it's really that big of a deal.

I think the AAL should have been below the 2 existing springs, shorter to long. Instead the new leaf was placed in the middle, from the looks of it. Like I said.. it doesn't seem like that big of a deal, just so long as my truck doesn't fall apart.. lol

The 2nd pic doesn't really seem to do the truck any justice on how big the gaps are, I think it might just be the angle. This was the stance I was shooting for, and it looks much more like this in person. This guy has the same setup, a 6" lift + AAL.

What's that guy running ? Just the aal and a 6? Wonder what a 6 aal and spacer would look like ? That's what I wanna go for in mine.

I thought the AAL was supposed to go under the existing leaf springs. Maybe yours is riding better because of the way they installed it.

Here is another thread which talks about the same issue:
https://www.f150online.com/forums/su...l-install.html

Either way, the truck looks much better with the back slightly higher than the front.
