fitting 35"s

Just made a profile on here last night, so im new to all this.
But ive got a red 2006 f150 4x4 with the 5.4L v8 and im wantin to get some 35" toyo mts. so ive heard that you can get away with a leveling kit and some trimming and rubbing. but im wantin to have limited rub and preferably no trimming. i can afford a 6" lift right now but ive been looking at a 3" suspension lift. if some of you could post some pics of your setups and tell me about it and help guide me in a direction to purchase something soon.
thanks!

You can fit 35x12.50's by using the OEM wheels but they will rub the control arms at full steering lock. Do not go with a 3 inch kit. I havn't seen a 3 inch kit that is properly designed. If you have the money, I'd install a 6 inch kit.

what do you mean, not properly designed?? i just want to fit 35"s without a 6" lift and i dont mind much rubbing at full lock.(and i am keeping stock wheels on)and if anyones got a 6" lift they would sell let me know, id love to have one but cant afford a new one.

They'll be fine if you use stock wheels. I don't rub at all

If you got the dough for the 6" get the suspension lift...Because you will be wishing you did later. Thats how it always works. you want a 6 then an 8 then 10 etc....

a 2" to 2 1/2" kit will allow 35/12.5's like wandel said.

the reason 3" are not designed correct IMO is they are to much to just stick in their and do not correct the angles at all, 3" should have a subframe to drop controls arms, etc to put back a good angles.

another option is a 2 1/2" and a body lift if you want to go bigger for cheaper, but i would only go this route if you plan to install on your own.

ok well ive heard that toyo mts are expensive, so what are some other tires that are cheaper and last long on the road and perform good in the mud?

I agree.
As for MT tires, I'd recommend the BFG MT KM, Toyo MT, DC Mud Country, Pro COmp Xtreme MT or Mickey Thompson MTZ.

Have you tried the wheel and tire forum? Not to be a jerk but I promise all of your questions have been answered and there is plenty of info there to read.
